Ahh... I missed that part.

Still people shouldnt just stay on one forum that is dedicated to one car you need to get out there and spread the word about this car to people who dont know about it. If anything youll get info on you competitors finding out what it will take for that car to beat you or what you need to run to beat that car. Other than Mustang forum Im a member of SRT (SRT4,6,8 together), Corvette, LS1( Camaro +Trans Am), Viper and this forum of course. I know what I need to run to beat any of these cars or what I need to watch out for.

not cocky **** dude, its the truth. all v8 guys are the same always have something to say about imports or any 4 or 6cyl for that matter. go ahead say v8's average 12sec true enough, however i know plenty of 4 and 6cyl in 12's or lower, streetable at that. not to mention they still get decent mpgs also.

just ticks me off when someone says they won a race and you v8 dicks hop in and start screaming bs. you guys really need to get off your high horses, in all the years i've been racing i've seen just about anything is possible.

I gotta say, i just raced a gt the other night and we ended up in a tie. I have no idea what he had but im alllll stock. The point is, i'm not exactly impressed with mustangs. Unless you have what my brother's neighbor has, which is the newer models it says gt but with quad exhaust coming from the side i believe its more than some gt.

well i think us "V8" dicks have been around the block a few more times..

a low 12 second camaro is pretty much a bolt on car.. Percentage wise the odds are stacked in thier favor vs a cobalt SS/SC.

How often do you go to the track? for every 12 second 4 cylinder there are more than ten 11sec 8 cylinders. There are more 9 second 8 cylinders than there are 11 second 4 cyilnders.

Have i got beat by a 4 cylinder? yes. But compare that to the number of 4 cylinders i have beat and its like a needle in a haystack and with the amount of "I beat LS1" threads you'd think it was common..

I'm definately with you though, anything IS possible.. just NOT COMMON.
I'm pretty sure i can tell the difference in potential..

That's a little biased don't you think? I've had my butt handed to me in my Silverado by my friends Cobalt SS/SC and my other friends 350z and I even posted the videos on the board, so that makes me a jerk and puts me on a high horse? Heck I should be the one on a high horse bragging if I ever do beat a SS/SC or an SRT-4 or a 350z in my 4500+lb brick.

That's why you see so many "My SS/SC beat an LS1" threads. It's exciting... like beating a Ferrari... or an Evo... or an STi. Because most of us know how much potential there is there.

+1

I read these threads and these guys act like an LS1 is no big deal and I just dont get it. Yes anything can happen on the street but just because a few people beat a STOCK LS1 or STOCK Mustang GT doesnt mean they are no big deal, add mods to either car and they can be a hand full. Yes you do see quite a few LS1 cars running in the 14s, at least around here you do but its because its the driver not the car. Even a stock LS1 is a handfull for many cars today.

I beat a 2003 Viper three times at the track and then twice more on the street when I was on stock boost. Does that mean a Blown GT is faster than a Viper? NO! I knew I beat the driver not the car. I never went around telling people my car could beat a Viper or a Viper is no big deal to my car.

Also what is the average time of modified Coblast SS/SC with stock engine (crank, rods, pistons)? Also whats the fastest?

ok i apologize for being a biased dick myself. I'm no stranger to the v8 as my father and both uncles are avid muscle car builders. My dad has built several 9 second cars. a 69 nova with a 406ci sb, a 75 camaro with a 383ci sb and currently a chevelle with a 383ci sb. Now anytime i race a v8 i expect the v8 to win because it has the natural advantage however there are some nasty 4 and 6 cylinders. what i'm trying to say is a lot of you v8 guys are just unwilling to believe a v8 can lose to a 4 or 6. My friend with his monte carlo was the same way until i tore him up with my 240sx. His uncle still denies his nephew lost to jap crap. feels the monte wasn't running right. My father was the same way until i took him for a ride in the SX also. His reaction was this damn thing runs like my old duece. thats a stock vg30et with a few bolt ons in a 240sx. its real damn close to a 12 second car. what i'm saying fellas is lighten up a bit a little more respect is due to the 4 and 6cyl.

Nice kill. Apparently a 50 ish shot really wakes the LSJ. This makes me lean even more towards the GM Stage 3.

But.

That exhaust sounded nasty!!! Is it really that loud in person?

It's unfair to say that all V8 guys are cocky ********. I have an LS1 SS, but I know that in no way am I invincible on the street! I am a member of LS1tech.com. That's got to be one of the biggest specific car forums on the net. If you look at their kill section, members post videos of their kills AND deaths, and lots of respect is given to ALL cars. TONS of different cars on that forum too, EVOs, STIs, Supras, 240s (some of them LSX swapped ). There's even some guy with a 600+hp Integra. In fact, I've seen people who are v8 fanboys get BANNED from that site!

It seems to me that for every cocky, V8 guy there is a 4cyl owner who posts about how V8s are slow, dinosaurs.

Even more well said I'm also a member of that board, and camaroz28.com

I've seen some nast little for bangers, and 6 bangers too. In my town there is a guy with a 10 second civc, though it's been gutted to hell, and looks like crap in the inside. It's a total sleeper though because its a base model EX shell on stock wheels, and dark tint, so you don't see the mess inside. As far as mods... I'm not a big import savy guy, but I do know it has an engine swap, and a extravigant turbo set up.

I've also been in a twin turbo 96 Supra boosting 38psi, with 600plus rwhp, blow the doors off a 2001 427 vette! I've never been push back into my so fast by a 6cyl!!!

So mad respect to all rides
