STI mods?

I don't think that big fmic on the sti is a good idea on the stock turbo... its way to dinky!!!

 

i know our cars can beat some evo's but that evo looked like it wasnt even racing... i mean buslengths?!

 

Yeah, I know... that's what I figured his problem was.

He let off after about 4 or 5 cars... well, he "hit fuel cut".

 

Awd cars are slow. Even with minor mods they are slow.

The Cobra was probably stock I'm guessing... Stock Cobra's are just about as fast as LS1 Camaro's... STOCK Cobra's are also hard to find though. But, for that model year of WRX... that's quite the gain in WHP.

Something wrong, yes... too big of a FMIC, i'm guessing. Although it did still make 275awhp on a Mustang Dyno. Either way, YES... something had to have been wrong.

As far as 1/4 trap speed. I've ranged from 100mph to 106mph (All very low 14 second passes - I'm cursed not to hit 13's. I spun my tires all night long... then on the last pass, decided I'd let my g/f come along for a run... and I ran a 14.04... I was pissed. I don't go to the track very often, I've only been 2 in my whole life, and I probably won't go much more. I grip A LOT better on the street. I get all nervous and tense at the track... I don't like it.









I never liked photo's of wingless SS's... but I gotta tell you... in person, this car looks damn good! I've taken everything off of the trunk now, except for the Longhorn.

 

All I can say is you are doing a lot of damage with just a 2.8" pulley.

 

The STI sounded like it was going to blow up !!!!!
