Let me say I have owned a couple vw's over the years. I once thought of getting a ss/sc one day not to long ago. Yes, they run good modified, but i wanted the overall package. On top of that, I use to own a turbo S new beetle at stage 2. I wanted nice interior, good safety ratings, and all that other stuff. Our dubs 2006+ only have the k03 turbo from factory. It is a limiting factor in nice power. The ko3 is designed for a low/middle power band. The top end tends to fail or fad off. The k04turbo/ injectors from the s3 are direct factory bolt ons. With right tuning and simple other stuff, we can be over 300 at wheels. In the end, both cars have their pros and cons. If I wanted better power, I would have keep my dodge diesel(440whp and 850 tq).

VDub in Da HAUS. LOL. I live in Durham, NC and drive a 2006 VW GTI and I don't see too many SS/SC unfortunately but I see quite a few N/A Cobalt SS. My girlfriend has a 2006 Cobalt SS which is alright as far as quickness goes. She's actually ran it at the track a few times and ran a 10.6 in the 1/8th mile completely stock. I would love to see how a Stage 2 SS/SC vs a Stage 2 2006+ GTI would compare.

to me i love the r32s but the 04s are so much better to me i hate the fact that audi decided to put a dsg into the car and not a manual..... Pisses me off even more than i just went to germany like 5 months ago and they told me that i can order a 08 r32 manual and to my features so forth but the car would cost me 60 plus if not more because of the high german dollar and their mark up on cars... In america we have it good because we have it at base price...

they also had a pirelli edition gti black on black with pirelli seats so forth beautiful car i sat in it over there i was amazed.... But to me their nothing special all it is to me is a audi a3 same engine and i drive my moms car alot and it falls on its face in second gear compared to my old second gear of my cobalt (stage 2) and my god my car pulls so much harder...

well i can tell you right now the price turned me off alot for the r32s but the sound of that engine purr always will have a special place in my heart... I honestly think that the r32 is one of the best sounding engines ever made its just that beautiful...

The gti to me is overpriced but yes indeed a very nice car

driver mod is something used to say "a great driver" and is probably the most annoying thing on the internet. i ******* hate it with a passion. whats really great is when people actually claim they have it in their mods list. so gay
