The War

If some of you remeber my thread about racing those SRTs, this is the sequil to that. The fastest SRT out there that night (298 whp) beat me pretty good. I told him I want a rematch with race gas. Well it happened, the result.... his car about 3 car lenths behind mine at 145 mph Tell me how is it possible for my car to put 3 cars on a 298 whp SRT if it has less than 300 whp (according to Ljavy17)? Anywho, my cars prolly got around 100 whp now since I blew the motor while racing the SRT. I hate GM
Oh, heres a video of "The War"

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/6...f300790eea.htm

might still be converting...

confused sorry lol the first time you raced you blew your motor, or this time you blew your motor? Did the pistons go, head gasket was it a result of the ported blower, tune? Sorry for the questions I have the similar setup as you so I just wanted an idea thanks....

So I take it a 2.6" is not a very safe pulley size to run? I thought everyone said it was ok, wtf... Were u running lean? How much PSI were u running when u blew it up? Was it the racing gas???

dang thats crazy I wonder if was because you were overboosting cuz you do have a small pulley and a ported blower maybe the ecotec couldnt handle it

Glad to hear that you beat the SRT-4, but sorry to hear about the motor. Do you know what you broke? Were you seeing KR? Too lean? I'm just curious on the details.

That sucks man, same thing happened to me, sounded like rev limiter and popped the hood to find oil everywhere. Turns out it was just a head gasket. At least I hope, I will be firing up the engine for the first time tonight so I guess we'll see.

What are your plans now?

i find that most engines and even motors run their best right before they blow up.. all of my go-peds were like that.. they would scream for a day or so.. i think "hey i tuned the hell out of this bitch". and then.. ting-ting-pop done....

sorry to hear about your engine.. is their goin to be a funeral?

I was filming. His AF was good. It must have been just a piston ring. Had blowby and the dipstick popped and oil went ****** nuts everywhere. About 2 quarts. haha.
