Hope it doesn't cost ya too much and you don't run into any other damaged things in there. I was thinking though, if you burned a valve how did all the oil get outside of the engine? Wouldn't that just be contained inside the engine and make it run like it is?

Anywho, my cars prolly got around 100 whp now since I blew the motor while racing the SRT. I hate GM
Oh, heres a video of "The War"

might still be converting...
Can't blame GM when your running your car like that and putting smaller pullies then stage II.

See ^ was not as bad as you thought. Glad you did not totally blow it.

Very cool vid BTW.

Damn, what is your rev limiter at? You hit it in 4th?....

Who was reving your engine like that afterwards....that could not of been good.

I still don't understand how a burnt valve would cause oil everywheres. Hope it's nothing too big.

I belive he said his dipstick shot out....which is why I belive he lost the oil...

Ehh, i'm going to argue the wrx sound....To me it sounds more like a BPU Supra with a LIL mix of a wrx/wrx sti sound.

But putting that all aside, blown4banger, I look up to you man. You're always helping out people on this board and it just sucks that this happened to you. But in the end, you will get a laugh out of it, and your engine should be 10 times stronger......Now about those 1/4 mile times....lol jk man

Hells yeah, leave us lovers alone! lol anyway, cam, how much timing were you running? I"m currently on a 2.5 pulley, NO COOLING UPGRADES, full exhaust, intake, and 100 octane pushing 23 degrees of timing. I might be bumpin up to 24 soon...since i get zero knock

yeah it's def a piston... if you tried it out again, did it blow the dipstick again? also check you COP's (coil on plug) swap em around and see if the same cylinder is dead.

After he cleaned up the mess he drove it home and has started it a few times since. The dipstick hasn't moved and the car doesn't smoke. Looks promising, but he says that since the engine is already open he is gonna build it. Unfortunately the Mahle pistons have the wrong size wrist pin so they won't work with the LSJ rods.

Yeah, it was bound to happen eventaully. I might take a loan out for the parts... there will be a lot
Ferria big bore valves
Ferria 8500 rpm valve springs
Cometic head gasket
Golden eagle head studs
8.5:1 pistons
Custom grind cams
netural balace shafts
severly ported head
and one other thing I can't seem the remember right now....

....that one other thing he is forgetting is probably the twin screw kit or a turbo setup....that's what i'm guessing. and if he can push more boost efficiently, he is better off dropping the compression.

Hey Cam... How far apart is the motor. If you still have it assembled I can get you a compression and leak down tester if you'd like. Let me know. I really dont think its a burnt valve... doesnt really make sense to me.

Why would I UP the compression!?!? I'm already runnin 20 pounds of boost, more compression would be useless without 100+ octane all the time. I want to be able to run pump gas, also after the twin screw I will be able to run over 30 pounds of boost. 8.5:1 pistons + lots of boost = recipie for a VERY pump gas friendly car

30 lbs of boost would be niCe! ..... I don't think you'd be able to do taht with the whipple....i'm guessing you're going the turbo route? Good decision. I want to go that way eventually but I probably won't because of no funds
