Well a local dude stepped up and went from stock turbo, bolt ons, and a tune on his neon to a 20g and all supporting mods. Couple local people around here were telling me all about it and it got me curious. Took a couple months for anything to happen because of different schedules and family stuff, but we finally got around to giving it a go. Pretty damn close runs and I was actually wishing I would've lost...

That was some terrible lining up n honking but damn, close run. The first video was especially bad. Seems like u two are extremely close. It's almost a drivers race.

 

Ya the second vid was honestly the best vid for a lineup and the runs. He kept calling out the mph but always stayed behind to honk. No idea why but he did but you can definitely tell he was hitting it hard as soon as hit the third honk. The first vid he honked and I was just cruising. I had to downshift 2 gears and still caught him. The third vid was suppose to be from a 20 but then he punched it and didn't even honk so we just took off.

 

Lmao. He's either a noob or just making excuses for when he suffers a loss.... Probably both... Lol regardless of the outcome though, those are both fast little 4 bangers!

 

Nice runs! He needs to stop rolling up on you like that at the start lol, the classic "get every advantage you can" start. With even starts you would start pulling a bit right away.

 

How bout it. The first video you can really here him spool even before the third honk. I just went with it though. I'm down to run anyone in their terms or however. If I lose I just congratulate them and let it go. If I win I just listen to the excuses about how I did this or did this. I don't brake boost and most of my runs are started in 3rd regardless of speed unless it's like 20-30. It was all just fun. Later that night the excuses did come out from a come people that know us both. Biggest excuse was that I'm running 28lbs. Lol.

 

Always something! Tell him to turn the boost up if he must and be waiting at the line standing on about 20 lbs on the brake just ready to take off like a rocket

 

His one buddy did tell me he is getting retuned for more boost now that I did beat him. I just told him it'll be more for when it happens cause it'll probably be another couple months or a year. Lol.

 

Yeah unfortunately getting to be that time of year where car activities come to an end for a while

 

Take the spoiler off for the next runs. Gape him that much more.

Nice kills. For you to be able to stop his pulls when he's running up on you while honking says a lot about your ride.

 

One of the worse times are coming up and it's just gonna sit there for a while. Bummer

There's that big turbo orange one that goes to ppp once in a blue moon, 2 steps around the parking lot then leaves.

I've only come across two. A "stage 1" which made like 240whp on the dyno before me. Then there's the silver "stage 3" full boltons with cams and big wheel turbo. Shaun ran him on his old Whitty tune and won a 60 roll and lost an 80 by 1 car. He got retunes on term and the neon wouldn't race
