What do you think?
What do you think?
Well a friend of mine is about to get a 2005 dodge Neon SXT, and wants to race me, I heard the Neons are pretty close to the LS Cobalts.
my only mods are an intake/ exhaust, he's stock.
We're both auto
Do you think I have a pretty good chance?

How much is he paying for an SXT Neon? Depending on the year, I'm sure they're still selling for 5k or more. Hell for that you can get an Fox Body Mustang, an LT1 Camaro and tons of other "better" cars.
I ran one of those with my vacuum hose/boost leak. From a dig I did circles around him while he was accelerating, and then flipped the car around and ran him backwards like in that 2F2F movie. It was awesome, his car almost had me.
"You NEVER had me" "You NEVER had your car!!!" "Ask anyone of these racers here, It doesnt matter if you win by a nose or by a mile. WINNING's WINNING"
Dont waste your gas. Running a automatic standard cobalt vs an automatics basic neon sounds dumb and your just asking for a tard ticket from the cops for street racing. (assuming this is on the streets cause there's no way in hell you'd wanna be caught doing this at the track with all those people watching.)
If you want a sports car, or a car considered a "sports car", go buy one. Like it was mentioned earlier, you could get a used mustang or a NSRT, or SS/SC for around the same price as a new base model gas saver.
On a side note (not being a dick anymore), You should take him I think. And please do it at the track. You really dont want to come on here saying "well I got a ticket for racing a basic neon". Does that sound worth it? I know I said people might laugh at the track but its better than not having a license and paying huge fines.

I think you're "dickheadness" continued thru your whole post. Street racing is street racing regardless if you're driving a Viper, Cobalt, Camaro, Mustang, Neon, Geo Metro or whatever, it's all illegal and if you get caught you get caught. And there are tons of guys who go to the track and race anything and everything, dont get caught up and think just fast or quick cars are allowed at the track.
just simply giving my 0.02 cents wether its appreciated or not. There will always be some group at the track laughing (maybe not directly) at the slow car that decides to spend 20$ to see how fast it is.
It then becomes a video on youtube or end up being a discussion in a forum about how rediculous it was. Now I dont know how old the OP is or if he has a decent job, or if his parents bought him a car in order for him to get to school and back. If hes a 30 year old dude and decided he wants to get a sports car, then thats where my assholeness is going. If he is 16, then its fine what he's doing, he doesnt have an income to support more than that. I know I didnt.

WTF???
Like I said in my previous post, there are tons of different cars that hit up the track here where I live and in most places you go. Some are age 16 and some are 50. Some people are just there for the fun of running down a track legally and some are there to show others what their cars got. Hell I'm only 24 and I have an 05 GT, 08 SS/TC, have owned an 01 GT, 2000 Celica GTS and an 03 Oldsmobile Alero, all of which I've raced and modded. I'm not young, but I'm by no means old, I have a good career going for me, make decent money, have a house, a Wife, dogs and live in a nice City. Some people dont have all of that, and some have way more. I dont think age has to do with any of it, because some people live in a money hungry household and some have to work 2 to 3 jobs to have nice things. I'm just thankful my Wife loves to work and works a full time job and a part time job just because she likes too because I work 12+ hour shifts. Either way, I somewhat understand what you're saying, but then again I disagree with most of it, LOL.

But yeah, it sounds like your doing absolutely wonderful for yourself. At least you got the wife with a job, I've been trying to get a job for my gf. I even recommended her to go back to school for a certificate. Im 24, have a nice job, only owned two cars, no wife...yet, no house. Im glad you see what I'm getting at.
I was wrong to be a dick, I remember bringing my 4 cylinder n/a to the track and it was still lots of fun. ran 15.4 and beat the other tiburon. im sorry. Have fun, and like I said before you will win.

The way he stated "All your Post Suck", made me think of that RPG game with the timeless saying that was a translation error.
