whats this guy thinking?

so im out w/ a few friends tonight just driving around playing w/ some ppl haveing a good time. and this guy pulls up in a lancer ES and revs up and me and i here his blow off, so the friend i had in my car w/ me jumped out and into the bed of my friends Lighting well the light turns green and i ease off the line not wanting to spin and he gets the jump on me i hit 2nd gear and gain on him quickly. he shifted and i heard his blow off followed by a nasty grinding sound and oil went everywhere. we pulled into a parking lot and he is like yeah it was a stock es and i put a turbo kit on it bosting 15psi well guess it was too much cus there was a hole in his block...

anyways why would someone put 4k in turbo work into a stock lancer es w. 60k miles and no work on the internals LOL

Cobalt 1 lancer dead :P

I bet you it had little to do with him not upgrading his engine internals but how well it was maintained.

No, I'm sure 15 psi and no engine management is what killed that engine.

Surprised it didn't have a bigger boom then it did. He doubled the internal air pressure that the motor was designed to work at.

Kinda sucks when you go out racing and need to ask for a ride home.
