Who got it?
Who got it?
My uncle and I have gone back and forth of who would win if him and I lined up. He owns a '71 Nova SS that's all stock. Got a 365 in it I believe. It's been his show car for years. He says he's about around 300hp and wants to maybe line up one day since he's never opened his up before.
I have an 06 ss/sc with a few mods:
Zzp stage 3 kit
Stage 3 heat exchanger
2.8 pulley
60#s
Injen intake
Magnaflow catback
Unknown tune
What's your opinion?

Well if it is stock it definitely didn't have a 365 in it. The only GM 365 I have ever heard of was a late 50s Cadillac motor. The Nova SS has a 350 or an optional 396. Based on how much HP you say he has, it is the 350. I think it would be close buy you might get him. Old muscle cars were a lot of the time grossly underrated from the factory, in terms of power.

It should be close from a dig. I think he might get you off the line, but if you guys are running a 1/4 mile, you should have him by a car at the end. If he has a 4 speed Muncie in it, it may be a little closer. You have a weight advantage as well.
Now if we were talking about which car was the more efficient daily driver than I could see your argument. Also you must have never driven an "outdated wanna be muscle car." There is nothing like pulling up to a red light, whole car is shaking from your motor idling, you can hear the valves opening and closing. It's a badass experience, there is a big difference between the feel of a NA v8 and a blown 4 cylinder. You feel that raw power. I love both, but there is something about a carb'd SBC that I love more than anything.
