Not really a "war story", but had to share. So my Brother and I were headed to the next City North of where we live to play some Golf. Coming up on a light I slow down and notice an Evo X and S2k about to race. I'm just watching because I don't care to street race, and the Evo pulls him hard. So at the next light they both get into right turn lane and I get next to them and give it alittle gas. The guy in Evo looks and smiles, but the guy in S2k looks, laughs and and gives me a thumbs down. Then another Cobalt drives by and it was a 4 door LT, and he points at it and says, "look there's another one". Just can't believe the disrespect from a guy with such a slow car. Just had to vent!!!

For a N/A car, it's quick, but it's by no means fast. And when I've beaten many Evo's, and he got waxed, it's alittle slow.

Dont we know this is the truth! I can count on a couple fingers the number of Honda owners I've ever met that weren't complete asses. And I used to be big in the import scene for years. But its even better when you school them

 

just gotta show them what your capable of. last summer everyone laughed at my car. now with intake downpipe and e85 tune i get a little respect when they saw me beat a boosted hatch that tries to hustle people at the car meet. now when i drive through everyone's talking about that "sick ass cobalt". haha. just gotta give them a reason to be impressed is all

It's times like that when you need to just hammer down and clown those punks. Then see what he's got to say. Respect isn't just handed out, you've got to earn it, and driving a GM Econo box makes earning that respect a little harder, lol

I've never really had anyone say anything like that to me. But then again, when they see my plate, they generally know somethings up....

 

maybe he just doesnt like cobalts. like i don't like 8th gen civics or vw hatches. he's just a newjack and hasn't been in the car scene long enough to learn...street racing and hating gets old. you notice in a more mature atmosphere at the better car meets there's no hate, people talk trash but no one disrespects each other cause that's just fast and the furious crap. leave it to the big screen.

Typical S2K owner. There are some really cool S2K owners, but the majority think they're amazingly fast in stock form for some reason.

 

Because they are...... Compared to their friends with EF and EG hatches with B swaps. Actually, those would probably beat the s2k too

 

There are so many of those out in Toronto. I don't really street race, I just don't like the risk of getting caught. People in my town know what my Girly car can do. Heck, because of me I can count a few people that bought a Cobalt SS/SC, but nobody in my town will be able to rag on me like that. Win or lose; I don't back down.

 

I was out with my girlfriend tonight, and happened to see a fairly good looking Honda S2000 with a wide body kit. Sorry I don't have any pics of it. Also saw a Mustang that sounded really mean, but with a pearlescent green purple paint job. Stang was driving behind the 2000. Guess they knew one another. So the 2000 pulls up to the light next to me, and I roll down my window and politely ask, "What are you running under there?"

His reply? "A billion horsepower! Way more than your **** box." Light turns green, he burns out, and hits the spray. His little stang buddy then wants to get past me, nearly clipping my front bumper. I'm sorry, but can I call Ricer on these dudes? The Stang had plenty of room before the light to pass me.

Damn dawg I got mad respect for your BOOSSTED vanity plate lol. Its just like when I had a vanity plate on my 01 chevy tracker that said IuseNOS no one ever wanted to tango with me. I wonder how many built turbo swapped 2jz go into the DMV and have their heat broken when they find out the BOOSSTED vanity plate is already taken lol.

The Mystichrome Cobra on the other hand... He has twins under the hood...

I know both of them lol. Only widebody S2k around, and yes he's a show-off. Don't usually see the mystichrome acting like that though.

The Stang was a convertible. Same with S2000. Is the guy with the S2000 have a white paint job? I was driving from metro beach when I saw them yesterday. Probably said that already though. There was some other person that was driving behind me in a Grand Prix I think. The passenger decided it would be fun to stand up through the sunroof and take pictures.

 

Gotten called out numerous times and still undefeated

I've driven quite a few S2K's... and honestly? They suck ass.

It'll be the day when I let some S2K owner laugh and point at my car.

I remember when they came out way back when, and everybody was all hot and bothered about the 9000rpm redline... well yeah, when it takes to 6800 to make ANY power at all.

I've seen only one, truly fast S2K in my entire life (in person that is). It has 30 grand in it, and it still sucks.
