**CLIFF NOTES AT BOTTOM**

On the freeway had a completly stock Civic Coupe (95-00) lowered with rims try to fly by me but im driving fast so he cant so he gets back behind me cuz of traffic...then it opens up again and he trys to get by me again but again he cant and this time i shift into 4th and gun it and put him back 3 cars or so.....all along ive been looking at this SVT focus thats been keeping up with us while i play with this honda....so being me i wanna see what this SVT has.....so i roll up next to him and he looks at me i look back and he guns it....were going about 70 so i throw it into 4th and go at it....he jumped about a half car from the start but didnt gain really much more let off and 115 cuz there were some cars up ahead....had a couple runs with him same out come he didnt really pull away from me.....so i was happy.

Raced stock honda (95-00) lowered with rims by 3 cars

Raced stock SVT Focus from 70mph-115 lost by half car

 

i think you have the highest street race per day ratio than anyone on here lol

Man Spectral, I'm telling you, you gotta drop an LSJ in that thing and put big ass SS emblems on it.

 

yeah theres a guy selling a resleeved lsj block and used blower for 1000 on this site i would definately think about it

 

yeah...but what would i do for tranny axels and suspension?? stock for the aveo cant handle that power.

 

That made me laugh out loud.

It was probably the battle of the bumble bees on the highway. People probably thought polination season started early. LOL

He would need the whole engine and the electronics side of it would be a nightmare.

Space would be his biggest issue. He would need the transmission/transaxle, who knows how much space he has to even fit one or how much customization he would need.

It's more of a hassle than anything.

He's better off getting a better performance platform especially being that he's new to cars (as far as modifying).

Granted the car is lighter, doing all that work for what...200 HP isn't worth it. He'd have a tore up Aveo and when he gets tired of it he will truely get squat for it. Atleast now he can get some money for it.

 

Yea, but Adam, can you just imagine the look on that Mustang GT drivers face when that little Aveo smokes the **** out of him in a race?

 

if i win the lotto ill throw the LSJ into the aveo and toast everything...but until then im gettin a new car lol.

 

The "look" doesn't pay his bills though.

While somewhat satisfying in a way, it's not worth doing overall or it's not financially a good idea for him to do.

And Spectral, if you won the lottery, please tell me you have enough common sense to buy a much better vehicle than you investing anymore money into a Avea...

 

lol i would buy a nicer car....probably would wait for the new vette to come out....but i would keep my aveo and put the LSJ into it. lol.

 

Spectral is earning mad respect for the Aveo on the streets. (chest thump)

He does get a whole lot of races though.

its the body kit dude...don't you have like a real low body kit? that attracts oh SO many races. big body kit and non-aggressive exhaust note = everyone wants to race you. Sometimes i wanna take off my exhaust because its pretty intimidating and the only guys that rev at me or anything on the street are like sti's and vettes and ****, so i never really get any experience which basically leads to me sucking at launching/racing.
