¿Spacer Question?

Hey my rims have like 1mm of clearance from my Brembos, so I went an got some spacers from Autozone.. These --> Dorman/AutoGrade 2 pcs. 5/16 in. thick 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 in. bolt circle 5 lug wheel spacer (711-914) | Disc Brake Wheel Spacer | AutoZone.com

They're 5/16" or 7.9mm an they're 'universal', I put it on one rim a lil earlier jus to see if it'll fit, an it does.. but has any1 ever messed with these? Any Pro/Cons? They didn't seem to solid on the lugs, like cuz of the holes it can jus shift left an right an i move it a lil.. I put the rim on an it seemed solid, but I can see it when I'm standin nex to my car

anybody with some spacers got somethin better? Or are they all kinda like this??

no reason to get 5/16" spacers. get some 3mm(1/8") ones and youll have plenty of room.

I got those cuz otherwise I'd have to order somethin an wait for it to come in..all the local stores got the same thing/size.. these make my wheels up front poke out 2 much tho, like if I keep these, id go an get some more for the back jus to line em up

Would I be good at this depth tho? In terms of driveability, stability an all that good ****?? Or should I jus learn some patience an order some slimmer ones?

I hope you have extended studs for that thickness... I barely feel comfortable running my 5mm ones on stock studs. I had universal ones but i ended up cracking one in half and breaking a stud too. I just waited and spent the extra $ on some from CED. Just my 2cents masta

If you want the best quality and SAFETY, get custom made hub-centric spacers. I actually have a spare set of 5mm thick hub centric ones that were too thin for my application. If the wheel you have has a 73mm bore, I would sell them to you cheap.

If you need another bore size, check out Motorsport-tech.com. They are pretty legit and mine are top quality. Don't mess around with cheap-o AutoZone crap or generic spacers. They will vibrate to no end at high speeds and will crack as someone else has already experienced.

Edit: Pic of my spacers...

i (lsj though) got mine from crateenginedepot.com they were drilled out perfectly to fit smooth on ur hub and lugs. i think 5mm just enough to make a difference, but thats all our stock lugs can handle.

Yeah, the hub of the car is 65.1, I'm talking about the center bore of the wheel.

Definitely don't ride around on those spacers without longer wheel studs!!!

Found some 5mm for a good price but my question is do they need to be hub-centric since there so small and the wheel is still on the hub??
