Uh...18"s for sure. I mean a base model Cobalt is still the same size as an SS or an SS/SC / SS/TC. I have 19"s on my car and am still almost unsatisfied.

17's. I have em. They're big enough to look good, much better than the 15's but small enough to put a decent bit of rubber on the sidewalls to help with the bumps, especially if your gonna lower the balt.

what i meant by it looks to big is becuase the base balts dont have the lip/ lower bumpers like the ss's do and i think some 18's look wierd on the base balts

I have 19"s w/ a 35 profile tire on mine, I drive I-66 into DC everyday (interstate HELL), and when I go visit friends I drive down country backroads thats are as bumpy/fucked up can be, AND i'm lowered on Sportlines....and i'm approaching 60k on my '07 as a true testament as to how much I drive. Yet only bent one wheel ever, and that was b/c I hit a chunk of cement that was HUGE on I-66 sitting in the middle of a lane. Would've destroyed any wheel just about. And the car rides comfortable enough to be in it driving almost 4 hours a day......

I fail to see your point

True, thats understandable, but I still say 18"s at the least.

i think the best way to solve this is to get 18's if i get rims wiht a lip, and 17's if i dont get a lip
