18s offset fitment??

I found a set of 18" x 8" rims with a +38mm offset and I'm wanting to put them on my '07 LE5 SS. I know a stock set of wheels off a '08 turbo SS while fit and i believe they are 18" x 7.5" with a +42mm offset (correct me if I'm wrong). Can anyone tell me if the18" x 8" +38mm wheels will work on my car?? And could someone explain the offset measurements to me so i can buy the proper size wheels? I'm shooting for the factory size from the '08+ turbo cars, thanks

my rims are 8 inch with a +38 offset, they fit fine, and sit flush in the rear, i rub with 235/40 tho, so if you dont want to rub youll have to either roll fenders or get 225 tires. im low on coilovers tho

you can find a very nice offset calculator on 1010TIRES.COMŽ — Tires and Wheels Absolute Authority.

3.5 in lip isnt a legit measument when fitting wheels. You need the actual offset measument.

You will want to be ET40+ to fit if lowered
