225/45/18 what tires?

I had toyo proxies before but they were 35's and I hated the potholes and the feel of the road , so would 45's be good? if where can I get 2 of them for under 200$ or under 150$ would be even better.....

bump

double bump

You can get some KDW 2s for $174 a tire. I recently got a set of 225/40/18's and am absolutely loving them so far.

Dry traction is much better than the pirelli's and wet traction is also exceptional.

edit: damn, I just noticed you're trying to get 2 for under $200.

225/45/18's are too tall. Some people have issues with rubbing, but it depends on the brand. They will also make your wheels look like 17's because of the taller sidewall. 225/40/18's or 235/40/18's would be better options. The extra width of the 235's makes for smooth ride. That's what is pictured in my sig.

yeah but with 40's theres just not much difference I might as well get 35's and ruin my rims again. missouri has alot of potholes. which brands dont rub?

my 225/45 KDW's haven't rubbed...i think they are closer to the stock height then the 225/40 are as well. I like the look aswell fills up the wheel well more. And i have a 235/40 on the front cause of one that had hole in the sidewall and i prefer the look of the 225/45 more.
