Keep us up to date. Im now looking to buy some 235/40/18's. Im gonna reinstall the stock springs and either sell my sportlines or trade to a set of eibach pro springs. Ive had an issue with a bad vibration ever since the sportline install, and I feel its the cv axles in that they arent happy at the geometry change due to the sportlines. If I go with the pro springs I know the drop isnt as much and Ill then be able to fit the 235 40 18's. Which Im hoping will improve the handling. Im more about twisties and handling vs straight line performance

They seem to be doing better than before. I have driven on them a bit more, and they seem to have def gotten better. I installed my TTR rear sway bar, and have pushed the car harder than normal without any problems.

Maybe I am just imagining it, or maybe the tires needed a few more miles to break in fully?..

Either way, I'm happy with the purchase! The tires grip extremely well in the rain! I was taking corners very hard in the rain, and had no problems...

Thats cool, glad they are working out for you. If you dont mind me asking what did you pay for them from discount tire ( out the door). And do you remember who you delt with at discount tire.

I got the tires from www.discounttiredirect.com They sell them for $96 each shipped as of now. I found another place called www.edgeracing.com that has them a tiny bit cheaper shipped. Soo what I did was made Discount Tire Direct beat the price from Edge Racing... Discount Tire gave me $10 off per tire, so I was able to get them for $86 a piece shipped! Good deal if you ask me!

The biggest pain in the ass though was finding someone to mount and balance them... I didn't even think about it but 18's with a tiny sidewall are a lot harder to mount... I couldn't find a place to do it, and the places I found wanted about $30 or $40 a tire! I finally got National Tire and Battery to do it for me. They originally quoted me $28.99 a tire, but I talked the guy into doing it for like $18.99 a piece. Soo mounting and balancing still cost me like $85, which is kinda a bitch if you ask me...

Get them, you should like them! Especially for the money!!!
Refer to this earlier post. I spoke with Sean Robero.

How you liking the tires? I had to raise my car back up on the stock springs. So Im looking at the 912's but in the 235/40/18's
I breifly looked at the 245/40/18 but price jumps and worried about hard corners and poping the bead since the tire is ment for a 8-9.5 wheel. Would love to have them but dont need the worry.

Yeah I noticed that my 912s had a little breaking in to do. Really easy to break at first, now it's now too bad.
