So about a week ago I went to A Goodwrench GM dealership and showed them the flaking on my rims. So the looked them over and told me they were going to replace them but not the passenger front. I asked why and they said because the scratches were from a curb. I replied they will still match right. Of course he replied. They will be the exact same rims. I agreed. So they ordered the rims and called me yesterday and told me the rims were in. So I went and dropped my car off around 2 p.m. I told them to call me when I could pick it up. So a couple hours later I get the call but I cant pick it up so I tell him to put the key in the trunk and I will pick it up later. So it is about 10 p.m. so I go and get it. So I look it over and she looks great. (Keep in mind it is pitch black out). So this morning I go outside to go for a cruise. I back it out of the garage and go bring the trashcan inside. As I am rolling the trashcan up the driveway I c my car and WTF look at the rims they gave me.

there the end of 07 year wheels after the real cobalt ss/sc wheels (ur og ones) maker went out of business....these wheels are actually off of a malibu ss

They are the 2007 Gunmetal wheels. They changed in 07. I would go back and and get them to either give you a 4th 07 wheel or get them to get you 06 gunmetal wheels

 

i'd be bitching for some 08 ss/tc wheels

yea a few cobalts were fitted with that wheel, there are a few people on here that have the "fatter" style rim. I'd just go tell them what happened and have them get another like the ones they put on. At least the stealership replaced them and didnt say it was driver error or unforeseen conditions. Beggars can't be choosers.

 

Yup I have those rims on my 07. Got it on 10/23/06. Very limited run. I'd say 8 out of 10 07s I've seen has the polished 05-06 style wheels.

If I were you I'd ask em for 1 more '07 style wheel.

Dude just sell them on ebay and go aftermarket. Or use that money to buy a set of whatever rims you like.

those are like the wheels from the old 2.4L cobalts. mine are gunmetal, like they are supposed to be.
