245/45/17's
Since it may be possible to get the 17x8" rims now, I need to start looking for tires. The 245/45/17 are the closest to the 215/45/18 tires in diameter. Do you guys think they'll fit with a 40mm offset on these rims? Do you guys think I could still lower my car with them? Thanks ahead of time for your input.

i would think you might want a little bit of a taller tire if your dropping the wheel size, that just imo maybe a 50-55 series?

I hate to be the one that takes the plunge. I always learn my lessons the expensive way for some reason!
The width difference makes up for the profile percentage difference. The tire ends up being really close to the same diameter. Check out 1010tires.com

yeah a 50/55 series sidewall on a 245 width wheel would make a fat ass overall tire
I would get the tire closest to your overall diameter...however offset is going to be the determining factor. I honestly don't know if a 245 would fit..u might have to get spacers to run those. I'm pretty sure u could work with 235's and a 40mm offset though.

I don't think you will be able to lower it and get the 17" X 8" and the 245's. I'll have a better idea tomorrow of what can be done once i get my srings in.
