5 lug/disc brakes conversion
so... this has been long in my mind. i dont know if its because i wanna look like an SS or what but i hate having 4 lugs it eats me up inside! this thread will be about information/tips/suggestions on this, not "omg y r u doing that u r 1 dumb kid", im doing this so... i want to go from 4 lug, rear drums to 5 lug, 4 wheel disc, (no ABS)
im trying to keep the price down as much as humanly possible. i might be able to sell my rims for some money, i bought them for $1050. i found wheels, voxx monsa 5 x 100 with tires (about 5000 miles wear on them)
wheels/tires: $180
front lt or ss hubs: $89
rear lt or ss hubs: ??
front rotors: ??
rear rotors: ??
rear calipers: ??
so what do you think guys, will this work? are the splines the same for the front on the ls as the ss or lt? will abs hubs work without abs? can i use my front calipers on a 5 lug rotor? they are the same size rotors? cant i get my front rotors drilled 5 holes?

im going to do this, but im going to go go with a big brake kit then a simple conversion. Expect to spend *roughly* $1300 for just the rear.
also why do you want 5 lug so bad? you can get disc brakes without going 5 lug

i dont need bigger brakes, as long as their disc im happy.
bigger brakes - ABS = SKIDDDD
eh.. it wouldnt be any more work than putting srings on would it?? its just hubs and brakes.. ?

4 lug cars:
escort, prius, civic, del sol, integra, neon, kia sephia, spectra, miata, colt, echo, corolla, tercel
5 lug cars:
mustang, camaro, lexus, camry, acura tl, evo, sti
see the difference? if not.. then i dont know. i just hate being in the same category as a frikkin tercel and escort. even my gf has 5 lugs on her scion. i know 4 lugs can handle power and everything, but when i look down at the rims and see 4 lugs, it makes me feel like i have a really cheap car. and i know they are cheap. but.. i dont know i cant explain it.
but some of the rims ive seen for 4 lugs, are really ricey looking or look like they belong on a honda with a big spoiler...
5 lug rims are mostly deep dish, really nice rims. plus, ive already found the rim style that i want. similar to the rial nogaro style

im pretty sure you can buy just rotors + calipers off a wrecked lt3 for maybe around 200 thats what i would guess the cost would be...
the thing is finding the wrecked lt3, some on ebay i think..
