Those have been posted before, over a year ago now. I doubt they work for the track or for performance handling.

They're not perfect yet. But it's a real possibility that they could end up being much better for just about everything than the standard tires we use now.

saw those a few months ago, looked up on them on some site and they said hopefully we will starting seeing them at the end of 08 on few vehicles, out in europe sometime next year i believe, not too sure though

I was just reading about them in a magazine the other day and apparently they are supposed to handle as well or better than real tires.

I work at Caterpillar and we offer replacement wheels like that for Skid Steers, that would probably be a better market for this technology.

Functionality is often second to looks in American society. I agree they are ugly....people that think they are ugly wont buy them...Take the Toyota Prius for example....great fuel economy yet horid looks....how many of them do you see?

I doubt you'll see them in the USA for a while... esp. since the tire companies are part owned by the oil companies... just like the auto manufacturers... they won't allow anything to be developed that's gonna significantly cut into their profits.
