ASA AR1 - the nogaro look-alike
ASA AR1 - the nogaro look-alike
Anybody have them? The pictures look almost identical, but I'm sure the rial nogaros are a much better wheel. Good news is that the ASA's are 23.1 lbs a piece, lighter than the stock wheels and the nogaros... (not by much) I just definitely don't want to put anything heavier on the car. Most importantly though, they are cheaper!
I searched and found a few posts but the only picture I found was on a cavi. Anybody got pics of these on a cobalt? Preferably a ss/sc or tc.

I believe I was the first person to have the Nogaros in 19's I have had them for more then a year and a half(Bought them in Feb of 07) and I cant describe how unsatisfied I was with the paint on the rims, it wasnt even a year before the paint started chipping off. So I let it be for awhile then I decided to paint the centers black about a 6 months ago. I left that alone until I was ready to do the red lip, the process took about 3 hours of sanding, masking, cleaning and painting. Here is a teaser pic of one of the rims. This was the first of the four to be done and has about a full can of
Duplicolor high perf wheel coating black on the center and the red lip is just Red Duplicolor caliper paint. I didnt go with regular duplicolor paint b/c before when I painted them black I noticed that the heat was distorting the paint a bit. The wheels also have about 3 coats of clear on them. I still have to sand/mask/trim the Rial out of the center caps but thats next on the list. Also one of my wheels was curb checked so I had to use spot putty to fill in all of the marks and re-shape the lip. Let me know what you guys think!

I cant beleive that Halfcent is the only one to pont out that the two wheels have a completely different spoke count.....
And when did Rial become a superior wheel to ASA? they are lower mid level quality wheels just like the ASAs. **** if anything Id rather have the ASA since its shotpeened.
Stop paying attention to price to determine quality.
