Stick with the R-S2's. People are not reading that you plan on getting R compounds next year and you are looking for a decent inexpensive tire for this years autox. You will not be dissapointed.

Yea it's going to be hard to find a really good tire for a good price, i dont know how much the Dunlop Direza Star Spec's are up there but they are a good tire for a little less price, they wear really fast though. And as far as the RE-11's go i know bridgestone is going to have a $100 MIR (Visa gift card) here in the states not sure if you would be able to get that or not. I know the RE-11 just came out the begining of march. Check on those Dunlop's though they are a great tire just wear faster.

i'm hoping to catch a good sale during mid summer on something, we'll see where it goes from there, **** can change and maybe i'll have a larger budget by then but for now i know i am not expecting extra money out of nowhere and will continue searching for a set under $1000CND from a Canadian company. If I could afford the Falken RT-615's that was my top choice but i knew they'd be too expensive for my budget.

Yea keep an eye out man. I wish i would have bought some of the Potenza RE01's that went clearance before the RE-11's came out. They were like $90 USD on tirerack.com, would have been nice just to have them for the price even though the RE-11 is better. Keep on looking you will find a deal.
