does anyone know where to get any black rims for a ss/sc ?

That's about your only option. I don't think any place sells 'em, so you've got to do them yourself.

i was quoted 350ish by a local shop to have some rims powdercoated for another car of mine

Yeah, it's usually about $75 a wheel to powdercoat, or $150 a wheel to chrome, but can't black chrome (that'd be too sick!)

Stockers are too heavy! You can do a Lug conversion to change it to a popular lug like 5x100. OR you can go to TireRack.com ... they've got a pretty good selection there for our car. Most are too gaudy for me.

There used to be a member... Monkey something... he had some awesome 5 spoke matte black rims. See if you can get in touch with him.
