so could any of you point me in the right direction as far as roof racks go, i have thule towers but last i checked they stopped producing the fit kit for them. so is there any way around this?

I had a yakima rack. Id recommend them

well ive never seen anyone do that. Only thing ive seen used is the thule windgaurd thing on a yakima rack lol.
