No ET or +?

25 offset on a 9" rim is quite a bit..
Yea I checked them and it doesn't say et or have a + anywhere on them. How much would a 17x9 +25 poke, i could put it on the car and measure how much it sticks over and that would determine whether they are +25?

quite a bit sunken
what are the specs on your wheels if you don't mind me asking?

The majority of XXR's wheels that are 9" and wider are in the 20s for the offset, if not lower. The highest offset I've seen on an "deep concave" wheel is +42 on the 17x9 522, the majority are +20 or +25. A +25 isn't a low offset for a 9" wheel, the majority of wheels people put on cobalt's just aren't aggressive and I wouldn't even say a 9" +25 is aggressive. Heck, XXR has their 7 and 8" wheels with 0et.

Are you sure you had XXR 522's though? They didn't make that size in a 4x100 pattern unless you bought them used from someone who had metal work done and redrilling.

Yea they are the 522's in 17x8 and 17x9, I still have three of them, just need another 17x9 to complete the set, they have two bolt patterns 4x100 and i think 4x114.3, it doesn't look like there has been any metal work done to them and if there has, it is professional enough to where i can't tell. I bought them from a tire and rim shop in Houston, i think they are a vendor for xxr, but i called them about replacing it and they said they couldn't.

I like the look of how those rims fit your car. I might end up going for the rota grids in 17x9 +25.

loll you won't rub with a 7.5. Ever.

*edit: assuming you don't have a -197* offset.

So I am having some serious issues with my axles. The outer cv joints keep getting chewed the eff up. Was told by some guys on another forum that the stance guys over here on .net talked about cutting thier axles down an inch.
The way he described it you would cut an inch out of the shaft and then reweld it.

What I would like to know is would it not be possible to remove the outer joint completely from the shaft and cut or grind off the end? And if so would there be enough spline left so that you wouldn't have to get them resplined?

Any advice you guys can give me would rock!
