CSS Fitment Thread VOL. Stance or GTFO
You guys can't agree on anything. How's anyone supposed to know what to go with when a month ago Dom said 18x8.5 +35 was flush?
He want's flush not poke. Unless I read wrong.

so im now talking to the guys from msr to make these in 17s well see how it goes
18x7.5 MSR 065 Gold HPO - Buy $149

The thing to remember about rims is that a 9 inch rim is actually 10 inches from edge to edge.
So 5 is half and it's 35mm in so that's 127mm-35=92 which is 3.62 inches. So it will be 3.62 inches from the hub to the outer edge of the rim.
Someone correct my math if it's wrong.
And that "HPO" stands for High Positive Offset. Meaning at least a +50 offset

18x8.5 + 35 to 40 is absolutely flush..
my CCW's are 8.5 and +41 and its flush.. granted i have wide tires cuz im not stretched.. more for performance.
with a stretched tire on an 8.5 wide u could go lower on the offset to a +35

yeah but ull need coilovers or the stock suspension pieces will crash into the wheel. 18x8.5 with a +41 ull have a **** hair inbetween the strut / endlink bracket. +44 crashes. so shall + 45.. if u have coilovers such as stance gr +'s .. ull have more room to play with.. an 18x8.5 +45 will fit
That's exactly what I'm getting Stance GR +'s.

i have 18x8.5 et 35 up front and its sunken. 18x9 et 30 will be flush. flush tires have nothing to do with the wheels, beside being on them and the offsets. when your talking about fitment in wheel sizes the rim itself is what needs to be flush to the fender/quarter panel. going with a less aggressive wheel with a wider tire would make the tire flush, not the wheel. theres a differance.
Yes, the settings will be different and off from what you have now. However its hard to say just how bad it will be, I raised my car 1.5 inches and my camber went from -.5* to -3* and the toe was off by almost a degree. Im glad I got an alignment to say the least. Drive the car and if it feels bad, get an alignment. If it feels the same, I would probably just run it however it is.
