CSS Fitment Thread VOL. Stance or GTFO
theres good stance and bad stance. thats bad stance.... your car has good stance.... matter of fact just about every car in this thread has better stance. i like slammed cars low cars track cars drag cars whatever. i appreciate well built cars but i see nothing clean when rims poking that much.
you're totally right. I guess my two Low Level buddies have no idea wtf they're doing with this 'rim poking out the tire' fad. Bagged mkV with Work or VIP modulars and they ruined it with skinny tyres.

if it was me doing it the tires would be properly sized or have a slight stretch and the quarters and fenders would be done to compensate for the low drop.... never understood the look of oh hey my rims are holding my car up

Wish more people thought like this. So many of my car buddys absolutely hate the stance scene for instance. And while their opinions on downgrading the performance and reliability of the car is valid but they look past that is a modern day hot rodder thing to do, and they are just guys doing what they wanna do to enjoy their rides more. Its bullshit! Meanwhile these guys are making unstreetable drag cars, which is also aaesome but duhh its not reliable any more and you cant drive it on the street. People just need to realize how **** really is
I don't hate the stance scene. There's some I like. I just don't think massive rim poke looks clean at all. To mean it's a hey I'm too cheap to afford body work to make a proper fit. That's a 9.5? Put a 245 35 on there and slit the quarters pull them out, weld a section in so they look oem so they clear so you can dump the car and roll it if you want or have an even cleaner look
To me Idc what your taste is. It's fine by me. I think cars should be able do function as good as they look. It is possible too. For example I hate seeing cars look like they are built for time attack and all they do is sit in a garage. cars that get pushed off trailers because they are afraid of the headers or manifold not being shiney etc. I don't like going to shows or reading magazines that have "clean" cars and the wiring is clearly all over the place and hacked or the bodies are wrinkled and wavy beyond belief. I get not having money but I don't like cars that look half done.

im with omiotek on this one ... never could wrap my head around the idea of the rim hanging out.
i mean maybe someone can help us understand, .... is it just for the look ? like does it look good to you guys ? (i know everyone has dif taste, I just am lookin for a little explanation)
in theory you could get a smaller width and make your tires fit and still tuck it lol

it makes it easier to get the tire as close to the fender as possible with minimal rubbing.
IN MY EYES, perfect fitment is where the fender sits right between the tire and wheel just like the pics serg posted.

The theory is so they can get the car on the ground with as wide of a rim as possible totuck under the fenders and quarters without major body surgery. if I built a stance car it would have body work done to accomodate a low drop and have a good size wheel and tire under the fenders. Some stance cars are clean everywhere else but the rim poke which won't ever be clean in myeyes. But ddifferent strokes for different folks.

loll you think they just slapped on a wheel to look like that? There's much fender pulling and rolling, camber bolts, welding of the frame to allow it to sit lower, removal of the guards etc etc. the look is to completely tuck tyre and only show wheel because that's what you're paying for. Everyone's tyres look the same and the style is to hide the bland boring tyres and only show wheel. It's not as easy as you think.
It's something you do to a car that doesn't do anything well. Or you just have money to blow on stupid **** and hate having driveability.
I don't see anyone under 35 driving a "stanced" car at car meets. For good reason.
Anyyyyyyyways, that redline looks real good!
Obviously you've never seen my old car. I had meaty fitment to stretch figment. Look further back in this thread I been here for a while.
