went to the Cobalt Nation Tail of The Dragon meet in Tennessee this weekend.... ended up doing some hoodrat things with my friends and now my HHR is on coilovers (stance). here are a few crappy cell phone pics & one low res.

the fronts are maxxed out, the rear is about 1/4" from maxxed out.... all locking rings are still in.

wheels: Enkei M52, hyper black, 18x8
tires: Continental DWS, 245/40/18

Damn surprised you have room up front to max it out. When I maxed out my fronts with Ksports I rubbed all up under the fenders. I had to raise it back up some because I was cutting into my tires. Maybe I'll try again with my new wheel setup.

Really not wanting to add much gold...just get rid of the black. I was going to add a tow hook anyways so I was thinking maybe a gold one but will probably end up going with silver to match my car. I'll just leave the grill and lights as they are for now.
youll get the balance your looking for

I think that the gold tow hook would look awesome and because it wouldn't be too much gold, but thats my opinion. Just retro your headlights yourself and do gold shrouds and leave the housings black. I think that would be an appropriate amount.

the plan for now is to roll the fenders, down size on tires, put in extended studs and get spacers..... see how it sits with that before removing any rings.

there was some rubbing but only at full lock in some turns..... and of course on some bigger bumps.

i'm thinking a nice winter project could be custom fender liners.

that would bring the offset to +23. that would poke fairly hard, the 235/40 would fit well, but without adjustable shocks and bouncy rear springs it will wreck your rear fenders. Lastly, the front will look bad because it will be poking with a fair amount of wheel gap. Don't do it until you get coil overs.

If I were to run an 18x9.5 wheel what offset would be best?
