Question Directional Tires?

Ok.. This might be a dumb question.. But ima ask it

I have directional tires on my car (2 up front garbage no names, back nitto555, im gettin new tires soon enough..) but 3 of my tires go in the same direction >>>> toward the front.. My front passenger side goes opposite <<<

I never really noticed till one day I was lookin, an I thought hmm.. That's peculiar...

I never really notice EXCEPT when I do 2nd(or 3rd) gear pulls where I happen to get some spin, it seems that I get a lot more torque steer than I used to.. I went with some wider tires am haven't get an alignment yet cuzza one thing or another..(I plan to get one before I take my Lil trip tho )

I'm jus wonderin if I should even worry about this tire tho

if they are directional and it is on backwards then it probably wont be expelling the water very good. i would think that on a dry road u probably wouldnt notice too big of a difference.

yes go back to the place that did them and get them to switch it around. dry pavement you won't notice it too much but given the wrong circumstances it could be bad and with the wet/snowy season upon us you want them to be working properly

agreed, get it flipped.

side question, what if they're non-directional but the inside tire-wall is on the outside?

non-directional are just that it doesn't matter what wall is on the outside as the patter will be the same regardless

this. you can usually tell if it is directional or not just by looking at the tread pattern.

Not exactly Goodyear eagle gt is not a directional tire but they do have an inside and outside tread design different patterns wet/dry cornering stability meaning that the tire should be mounted with the "outside" side outboard (away from vehicle) not inboard (facing the vehicle) continental has their contiprocontact series of tires that are also this way.

Directional tires should only be mounted the right way they are designed that way to channel water, slush exc. Away from the tire and WILL cause problems during those conditions, improper mounting will also cause the tire to wear uneven and wear out prematurely. Work in a tire shop so I've seen these issues, get it switched asap
