Question Discount Tire and stock SS/SC painted wheels

I'm going to be getting some new tires soon and looking at taking it to Discount Tire for mounting and installation. Before I do so, I want to get the consensus on this. I've read and heard stories years ago about Discount Tire (amongst some other installers) scratching or damaging wheels (either by accident or just because "it happens"). Since I plan on keeping the stock SS/SC painted wheels, I want to keep them as nice as possible. Does anyone know if Discount Tire takes any care in mounting and installing wheels like these? Do they use updated mounting systems (i.e. Hunter mounting, etc)?

I'd like to get some feedback from others that have had experience with the SS/SC (or any other painted wheels) at Discount Tire and also from employees themselves; I know some are here.

Thanks!

when hey did mine they took quite a few chunks outta the paint on the stock rims, nuthin you can really do about it, it's the tire mounting machines- i bet it happens no matter where you go..

seems like everyone who has went thru discount tire witht he stock tires have scratched them from what i've heard- i've seen 2places where they properly mount so as not to scratch he rim. so i stand corrected as far as EVERY place, but good luck finding a place that doesnt... most places dont take great care with rims and tires nowadays...

They scratched mine, when I had my painted stockers on. It wasn't really too bad or even noticeable til I took the tires completey off. They never scratched the face just the lip where the tire tucks under the rim
