Canada dummy rim

hey guys i blew a tire the other day and i have my dummy(spare) on my drive wheel right now, i havent driven the car since i put it on cuz i had my sister's car to use,

im at winston churchhill and burnamthorpe, and i gotta go back to brampton, torbram and williams parkway

distance is about 35km, how far am i allowed to drive on the dummy wheel before it screws up something on my car?

i've never in my life had to use the dummt before so i dunno, im just at my sisters house right now and i wanna head back soon, so any help would be great,

thanks all...

i drove over 1,000 miles on a different car when i broke down in south carolina... it should be fine, don't worry about anything, just change it as soon as you can.

You should be fine for that kind of distance, as for spped wise don't do over 100 kmh, if you go any higher you risk the chance of blowing the tire apart. Just drive on the safe side.

thats what i was thinking, 2 different tire sizes on the front will for sure **** something up, either way im home now and dont think im gonna be driving anywhere til tomorow, i hope, i dont have 2 jack stands or i would have already put it in the back, i made it home safe and i didnt drive over 70km/h

i even got my friend to lend me her car tomorow so i can go pick up my new tire from the dealer tomorow,

u dont need 2 stands... that jack that came with your car is made to lift the whole sideof the car up..... break both tires on one side loose with the breaker bar.... lift from right behind the front tire, go until your rear tire is about 1 inch off the ground, take them off, switch, tighten, and then lower asnd crank them tight//// youll be all set

It doesn't matter if it is on a drive wheel or not. That's what a differential does, lets the tires spin at different speeds. What you DON'T WANT TO DO is put it on the front wheel of ANY vehicle as that is where the most stress is during braking and cornering. It says it in ANY manual for ANY car.

trust me your not supposed to use it on a drive wheel.... yes the diff compensates for this but it is not made to be going 2 diff speed for the whole time then facter in turning..... if its alredy being overowrked and then u take a turn and push on it further its not going to have a good outcome....

Look at a manual for a RWD car. It still says to not put it on a front wheel. Ask any tow truck driver also.
