Enkei LS-5 over Brembos

I've heard and seen conflicting stories. Just wanting to know if they fit.

This guy says this:

And this thread would appear to show otherwise:

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/comp...c-sale-186914/

I tried contacting the OP of ^^^^ thread quite a while ago (to see if he's running a spacer) but he hasn't been on in a while so I assume he sold his car and will not be responding.

Thoughts?

I think this pretty much sums it up. Worst case scenario is that you have to run a small spacer.

^^Did you read the person I quoted before I posted the link to the thread with that picture? He said he couldn't even fit it with a 5mm. I'm just confused

Ya, I did read that quote. But I don't give a **** what someone says when I am looking directly at a picture of them installed over Brembos.

I guess I don't quite see where you're confused.

Maybe they need a 7mm spacer.....

Eh...just confused because a 5mm spacer is about all I would run before wanting to get extended studs...so I'd rather not run larger than 5mm. I understand that we can see a picture of them installed...but I have no idea what kind of spacer he's running (if he's running one) as I have not been able to contact him. Just hoping there's someone else with these wheels that can chime in.

They each have plus sides. I just like the thinner spoke of the LS-5 more for some reason. But they're both super sexy. The 5 spoke options for this bolt pattern/offset are pretty limited

Why is everyone afraid of longer studs? They are cheap and take 5 minutes to change.

If you like the wheels, buy them and do what's needed to make them work. That's what myself and a lot of other people are doing.

^^I may just end up doing that. It's not that I'm scared to do it...I'm just lazy and thought it was a more involved process than a "5 minute" job. I am getting frustrated with these Brembos

Where'd you get your extended studs from?

I don't have extended studs. The wheels I am getting require a bolt pattern conversion, but they should clear the brembos just fine.

You can get studs at any autoparts store. You just need to hammer them out and back in. Pretty straight forward.

You can buy them already drilled for 5x114 from R1 Concepts.

Holy Santa Clause ****...you just changed my life

I need new front brakes anyways...perhaps it is time to rid myself of this God-awful bolt pattern.

DOOOO IT!

Mongorat427 also re-drills the hubs to 5x114. You're going to need to do that as well. Either send him yours, or find another set somewhere and send them to him so you won't have any down time.

I know he had a set for sale not too long ago...I'll have to check with him and see if he still has them available. THe only reason I didn't buy them when he first posted them was because of redrilling the rotors...if only I had known then about R1's offering.
