Fitment advice please

You guys know a lot more about this stuff than I so I thought I'd get your input.

08 SS/TC (Brembos)
Stock suspension. May drop on pedders. Trying not to use any spacers or roll fenders.

Wheel:
Work Emotion CR KAI (image below)
These clear brembos on STIs and EVOs and pretty much any BBK out there if they're the right size/offset.

Size I'm looking at is
18x8.5 +37
(special order 5x110 holes)

Tires will be something like 235/45/18 tires. Car is a DD that sees occasional track time.

Other options in this rim are:
18x7.5 +48 +42 or +35
18x8.5 +43 +30

Let me know how if/how you think they'd fit or if you reccomend one of the other optional sizes. Maybe the 18x7.5 +42 would be better?

There's a guy (wongafet) running those wheels in 18x8.5 on a TC already. They will clear the brakes fine if you are willing to fork out the money for them.

He doesn't have a tc but he has a brembo swap and he had to run a 5mm and extended lugs to clear. I think his final et was 32

I heard my name...well there goes my hopes of being the only one with these wheels LOL

Yes I am a LSJ with the brembo swap
Yes my specs are 18x8.5 +38. @ +38 offset they cleared the calipers by a paper sheet, but to be safe I ran 5mm spacers making my effective offset +32. My research prior to buying these wheels made me think +38s would clear but I was a noob back then. With a concave rim you need more offset to clear big brakes.

the 7.5 wide are flat faced, 8.5 are semi concave, and the next size up for the regular CR Kai's are 10 which you won't want. If you get the new CR Kai FT they come in 9.5 which is ideal I think, but this also depends in the look you want. Any of the 8.5 offsets will pretty much sit you poking by a pinky finger.

Also keep in mind of a 3 month wait on these. I was told 3 months but ended up waiting 1 year for these wheels to arrive (no joke, ppl can vouch). Reason being that these are 1 piece wheels and so they will be made on order from scratch IN JAPAN to be shipped OUT OF JAPAN. If you went for a multi piece Work wheel, the wait may be shorter since the barrels are all pre made with only the center spokes needing the wait for the custom drilling.

If all this WORKS (no pun intended) with you, then by all means grab a set, just not bronze LOL

This is what you will sorta look like (if you're slammed)

Oh P.S. re read your original post...

the Evos and STIs you mentioned also run ___x10s so no luck for you there. You won't have to roll fenders at all, especially if you're running just springs so don't worry. I'm dumped and I didn't roll any.

I probably won't get the CR KAIs. I wasn't dead set on them. I'm gonna try to buy something that looks nice and is unique/original. That trail has already been blazed. Plus if I spent the time and money to get something that unique I wouldn't like it if someone else did the same thing.

I have ordered special Work wheels in the past. The wait isn't too bad if you find out what rotation they're on and get the ones that are coming up soon. It can be a little as a month if you pick the right wheel. If you have bad timing you're looking at a year.

I had an 06 STI for a while. Initally had some gold Advan RSs. Then wanted white rims so................ Here's a pic of my work Emotion XD-9s. Had to special order the white. Took two months. They were 5x114.3 but the rim was stamped 5x100 because that's what's on the mold.

Shitty cell pic but here's my old car:

Would the 7.5" version clear the Brembos? You have other pics? The 8.5" is not too wide?

As for tires the 235/45-18 is way too big for the wheel wheels. I think 235/40-18 or even 255/35-18 on 18x8.5 or 18x8 would work best. As for 8.5" being too wide that depends on the offset.
