Gaining interest for Enkei - Get in here if you want the RPF1(time of attack wheel)
I thought I would have got shot down by Enkei , like most of the other wheels I want . The opposite was true . The rep I spoke with was VERY knowledgeable of the Grand Am cup Cobalt SS's as well as the GM Time of Attack car and showed alot of enthusiasm for the Cobalt SS in general . Most of the cup cars and the ToA SS use the RPF1 . But the wheels are custom . Enkei does not offer the RPF1 in a 5-110 currently . But that could change , as early as this summer . This wheel is pure sex IMO , and looks perfect on the SS . A 17x8 weighs only 15.6 lbs , 18x7.5 = 17.0 lbs and a 18x8 weighs 17.8 lbs . It comes in the 3 finishes listed below , Hyper Silver , SBC ( polished like coating with a dark shadow effect = lightweight ) and Gold . The Enkei rep also mentioned Black and Bronze could be a possibility . This thread is to generate interest for this particular wheel . Please keep your replies clean as it will viewed by Enkei . And lastly Im not asking your opinion of this wheel , I could care less if you hate or dislike it . I want people who like this wheel enough to actually buy it , post here . Post your desired size and desired finish , offset preferences with wider wheels ect ect . As with most things in the car world , the good stuff is typically a little more cash . These arent knock offs of a another brand . From prices around the net they seem to typically run $270 to $300 per wheel . This isnt a thread about a group purchase or actually making a finacial commitment , just purely to see if theres interest .

Here is a pic of how a 17 with 245/45-17 tires would look on the car
...also for the people who want bling , the SBC finish gives the look close to chrome without the weight penalty . He said it looks more like a highly polished finish , with a black hue in the shadowed area's .

put me down for the SBC's for sure. i was looking at them last night in Sport Compact Car and today on the internet, even thought about buying wheel adapters to get them to fit somehow. PLEASE let me know if these become available.

Definately! I was so dissapointed the first time I saw that they were custom made for the Attack Cobalt. I would take a set of SBC or Black. (keeps fingers crossed...)

Ive wanted RPF1s since I got the car. I actually tried to get a set and have them redrilled.
When my wheel guy called enkei to get some more info on the wheels...
(Whether or not it would clear calipers...etc).. Whoever he talked to an Enkei
pretty much shut him down when he got the idea that they would be redrilled.
Enkei.... Pls hurry up and make RPF1s for the Cobalt SS...

I think its a great idea if they could produce the wheel in 5x110, there really aren't any choices out there right now. I have a feeling that the first company to produce a lightweight wheel with our Bolt Pattern is going to get a lot of attention, especially if they post about it here.

Im pretty sure the only reason those 9.5 inch wheels worked was because of the Ohlins suspension. I'd be interested in these wheels as well but they would have to clear the SSBC big brake kit. If it helps the kit fits behind the stock wheels.
