I will have leave that one up to the enkei rep . And yes , a 9.5 wheel with a 38mm offset would never work on a stock car . They have stuff moved around a little bit

GSoccer24 - He said , if the interest was there .....their plant will be caught up with production enough to possibly have a RFP1 for us by June . Hopefully he starts posting in here , he said he would and I gave him the link to this thread .

They are price but i would be intrested in 2 sets. One for drag and winter in a 16 that will fit around the calipers and a size that will fit most magor tier brands.

I will more then likly put on another set to just run around in these will be 18s and fit the stock tier sizes.

I hope these go into production.....

I would be interested in them in a dark grey or gunmetal-ish color. Maybe even a satin lip as well. I would go for a 17" in a little wider than sotck, but not THAT much wider.

That would very well fit into my budget plans, as I was thinking about wheels / tires for the summer.

I'll keep checking on the posts.

thanks for the post!

I like them. I would be interested in a set of 16x8 38mm - 42mm offset.
Im interested in them for racing only but I would like them to be black.

***UPDATE***

I just cut and pasted Kings email response to me

Derek,
Yes I remember our conversation. Japan is just now starting to get caught up with back orders. I will make a the request for these fitments and see how long it will be before they come about. I should have a answer by July 12. I will let you know Enkei plans on doing.

King
So its looking like July before we will know . Heres the sizes Im pulling for .

18x8 38-40mm offset 16.8 lbs per rim

17x8 38-40 mm offset 15.8 lbs per rim

16x8 35-38 mm offset I could not find a 16x8 weight , but I found a weight for a 16x7 @ 13.7 lbs ( we will need the extra clearence of the smaller offset to clear the spokes with our brakes on this wheel ) I want matching wheels to put slicks on so Im really pulling for this size too .

Other than Volks(pipedream) this is the only wheel I want for my SS , hope to god they do it . One great thing , the Enkei rep showed ALOT of enthusiasm for the Cobalt SS . Its looking as if they may stray from the normal Silver , Gold , SBC because he did mention both Gunmetal and Black as possiblities in our phone conversation a couple months ago .

The rep I spoke with was VERY knowledgeable of the Grand Am cup Cobalt SS's as well as the GM Time of Attack car and showed alot of enthusiasm for the Cobalt SS in general . Most of the cup cars and the ToA SS use the RPF1 . But the wheels are custom . Enkei does not offer the RPF1 in a 5-110 currently . But that could change , as early as this summer . This wheel is pure sex IMO , and looks perfect on the SS . A 17x8 weighs only 15.6 lbs , 18x7.5 = 17.0 lbs and a 18x8 weighs 17.8 lbs . It comes in the 3 finishes listed below , Hyper Silver , SBC ( polished like coating with a dark shadow effect = lightweight ) and Gold . The Enkei rep also mentioned Black and Bronze could be a possibility . This thread is to generate interest for this particular wheel . Please keep your replies clean as it will viewed by Enkei . And lastly Im not asking your opinion of this wheel , I could care less if you hate or dislike it . I want people who like this wheel enough to actually buy it , post here . Post your desired size and desired finish , offset preferences with wider wheels ect ect . As with most things in the car world , the good stuff is typically a little more cash . These arent knock offs of a another brand . From prices around the net they seem to typically run $270 to $300 per wheel . This isnt a thread about a group purchase or actually making a finacial commitment , just purely to see if theres interest .

yeah, I was just on thier site, and 5zigen's as well, and there's not 1 wheel made by either company that will fit our cars according to the site. Now Enkei DID have a few that were "custom order only", so maybe you could get them specially made....

I want some nice light wheels!

I didnt have time to look for direct side shot Silver RPF1's and I took another Arrival Blue SS I had on my hard drive that matched angles of the RPF1 pic I had .
