There's a lot of cleaning products that'll take that stuff off. Degreaser or pretty much any cleaning solvent if soap and water doesn't work.

Then you can use chrome polish when it's clean.

I know you probably know, but I'll say it anyway. Make sure it's chrome. A lot of wheels with colored blades and a shiny lip are aluminum, do not use chrome cleaner or chrome polish on aluminum.

those look good. they look very similar to mine except mine are all black. But to get to the point, i think those are aluminum. Are they 2 piece rims? If they are not 2 pc they are probably aluminum. If they ARE 2 pc, there is a 50/50 possibility of them being either. Sorry so vague but hard to tell from pics.

Did you use anything with it? Where I work, we use VERY fine steel wool, and foaming glass cleaner, to clean OEM chrome wheels. Works perfectly without scratching the wheels. Our steel wool is so fine it almost feels like cotton.

well if it really is a polished lip that is clear coated, try a clay block, then wax it.

the fine steel wool is the 0000 stuff i said to use. it is very light. but it sounds like your lip is Aluminum. if its already scratched you may wanna try some Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish, see how it reacts with teh wheel. I am not responsible for any damages that may occour. (just wanna cover my ass)

No no no! Don't take off the clear coat! You're just gonna have to find another way to clean it.

ya same here, you may want to get some professional help if you don't feel comfortable experimenting with different methods.
