how to store summer tires & rims for the winter

i just put on my winter tires and steelies and was wondering what is the best way to store your summer tires and rims. oviously they should be cleaned but, should i let some of the air outa the tires, all the air, no air. should they be put in bags or not?...

not sure on the air thing, all i know is make sure they are stored flat, not standing up.

If they are on a concrete put cardboard down first so you dont get dry rot on one side....

Make sure you bang them with a hammer once in a while to get the rubber molecules moving---thats what causes dryrot.

if its a concrete floor, throw a couple 2x4s down first. clean the wheels and tires and put them in bags, then stack them on the 2x4s.

i have them in the corner of my bedroom the gf isn't too happy about that but i have a piece of cardboard inbetween, and they're all stacked on top of each other.

like everyone said jsut make sure you store them on their sides with something in between them... you can store them virtually anywhere in the house or in the garage... just make sure you clean them prior to storage...

Thats what I've doing. But then again not everyone can do that. Leaving them outside and covered with a tarp would probably be ok.
