K probably a dumb question but..

can 17 x 7.5 wheels fit on 17x7 tires

no...

can probably jimmy rig, but on high performance cars, I wouldnt recomend it.

you can stretch the tires to fit like a lotta guys do with wider wheels but personally I wouldn't do it. do you know for sure that those tires wont fit a 17x7.5 wheel?

17 x 7 isnt a tire size. I have 225 45 17s on my 17 x 7 1/2 rims. so it depends on the tire size. mine would work on upto a 9 inch rim according to its specs I believe,but needs atleast a 7 1/2 to measure correctly. check a tiresize calculator for a better idea on how it works.
