KDW-2's

Hey I was about to order new tires for my cobalt.

I was looking at KDW-2' 225/45ZR18

Will these things fit on the stock rims?

If so, will I have any rubbing issues?

Does anyone out there run these same size tires on the stock rim?

Thanks!

Are you lowered? If so there might be an issue. The 225/45/18 has a slightly taller sidewall than the 215. If you are not lowered then you should be fine, I believe there are plenty of people on here running that size with no issues. Type in that size in the search button and in the advanced search options click on titles only and there should be tons of post about it.

I had them on my stock wheels. No problems at all. That extra 10 isn't going to hurt you at all.

I have 235/40-18 on my stock rims, and I dont think I will rub at all when I lower my car.

That was kinda irrelevant though, as you asking about 225/45-18s...

No you won't rub with a 225 tread width... I ran 225/40's for a looong time and never had an issue!

225 40's are about 1/2" shorter than 225 45's.........but yeah, it probably still won't rub.

how tall u want your car to sit? taller? get the 45. shorter? get the 40.

a few other things go into this, but honestly I'd suggest the 40.

45 will offer a tad bit more ride comfort as well.
