Kumho Ecsta ASX 225/40R-18 W

Well I got a flat on my Pirellis that have 10k miles on them that only had 4/32 tread left!
So I said screw it and bought these.
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...40&ct=&rf=true

Not what I wanted but it fit my pocket book.

As far as handling and grip they are not bad might need break in(only50 mile on them)

Corners: They are almost as good they let go sooner then the Pirellis but the grip seems more llinear and the tire tells you that its starting to let go. They are more predictible. A bit on the loose side. The back end of the car comes around more.

Straight line they are crap sofar 1st gear about 1/2 to 3/4 trottle max after 5500 rpms
a hard shift into 2nd and the spin but regrip quickly 3rd shift they will spin too.

Noise/Ride Much better then Pirellis They are Quiet and I dont feel evry bump in the road.
They track well and dont seem to follow the lines on the freeways at all.

So far Im actuly kind of happy ill post back in the next couple of days if they start to grip better for strait line ECT after their broken in.

Not sure if I had those exact Kuhmos tires but I did purchase the ecsta series for my old Beretta GT. I think they were a bit of a hard compound which made it tough on traction. I had some performance mods on a 3.1 and hard take-offs were nothing but wheel spin. Good luck though, nice looking tires

Well i have 50 miles on them and they have gotten better as fas as grip.

They grip well in corners not as loose as i thought initialy.
Straight line the have improved greatly but still easy to spin them.

Im going to take some corners really hard and see when they reallly lose it and ill post up later.
