LS Tire Size Questions
I have an LS and I want new rims and tires. I Want to lower the car eventually also. I'm pretty set on 17's or 18's. When I lower it I think I'm going with the the Pro-kit. What size tires would be best with that set up?
The site I was on was recommending 215-40-18 for the 18's and for the other set it was saying 215-45-17...
Can I get 225's? The rims are 17x7 and 18x7? Would 225's fit on those?

I'm on 235/40-18s because my wheels are 8" wide. Its a substantial sidewall. No worries about potholes. Even with the 17s the pro kit won't suit you. I thought it would me, but the damn thing still looks stock. But I don't want the stiffer ride of the sportlines. My kidneys are destroyed from my mini-truck days...lol

Nope, no rubbing at all. The pro kit only lowered it "minimally", but I can see that even with an additional inch more lowering from where it is at now, it still wouldn't rub. On the 8" wide wheels (which are actually 9" from the outsides of each bead lip, the 235/40s are straight horizontal, no bulge outwards and no tapering inwards. I was concerned when I test fit the wheels because with a 45mm backspacing, the inside lip was about 1/2" from sway bar mount flange on the strut housing. I checked it again once the wheels and tires were on and it has plenty of room.
