My next mod (kinda)

Well, technically im getting HP Tuners tuned next.....but my next physical mod will be these suckers.....

Heres the link for them:http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...08&rd=17&ar=45

They are 225/45/17.............im going to buy two of them for two of my stock 17"s since I longer use them. (I daily drive on the 19"s)

I'm pretty sure a 225 tire will fit a 7" wide wheel......any objections? Also, think i'll have any issues with my stock axles? After tuning im looking for like 185whp or so, so im thinking the stock axles should hold up.

Feel free to give me any advice. I won't take offense to it.

what makes you think I have a 2.4 auto? My TWM short shifter? lol. Sorry bro, I def have a manual.

I want drag radials b/c I drive on 19"s daily with crap Nankang tires, and my stock 17"s have bald tires. So if im gonna replace the tires on the 17"s which I never use, I might as well put them to good use as my drag wheels and throw some drag radials on them. Just as expensive as a ultra high performance tire. Last time I went to the track it was damn hard getting traction. No matter how much power you make, it never hurts to have a grippy tire. The 17"s arent being used so I figure why not designate them as my drag setup. Thats why I want drag radials. And if I make 185whp like im shooting for.........185whp isn't that shabby. That'll def break loose at the track.

Cutting .2 or .3 off your 60' sounds good to me. That would drop your ET down nicely.

well, I have UN-USED wheels right now. I need to replace the tires on them one way or the other. Why waste money on new street tires when I never use them on the street? Thats what my 19"s are for. Im gonna keep two of the stock 17"s w/ street tires as backup wheels in case I mess up a 19" like I did in the past, and put drag radials on the other two for my drag setup. How is that a waste of money? It'd be a BIGGER waste of money to put all new street tires on wheels I never use on the street.
