My Review of Kumho ECSTA SPTs
My Review of Kumho ECSTA SPTs
The cheapest tire available for the SS/SC. 440 shipped
These tires are GREAT for a person who has a daily driver SS/SC Cobalt and just need some cheap tires to bomb around on. However I have NEVER chirped the tires in second with my car with a smooth first to second shift until I got these tires. Even with a controlled, half throttle launch I still get horrid wheel spin in first gear. In the curves the Ecstas grip can only be described as "moderately enthusiastic". Staying about 10 mph over the limit on some backroad twisties The tires will hold up fine. However the Ecstas will complain if I force them too hard into the apex =\ NO FUN. I only purchased these tires because I didnt want to burn up an $800 set of T/A KDW's just driving back and forth to boston/erie/south carolina/dunkirk/ etc.
