need new tires for the tc

looking for some new rubber for spring.

so far im looking at the nt-05 and the direzza stars

i want a nice stick tire i can use on the street, give me some grip at the strip and maybe an autox event or 2 this year

If you can get some General Exclaim UHP's, they are pretty low priced due to being discontinued. I'm on my second set of them and am pretty satisfied.

They tramline a little bit, but have great speed rating, wet/dry traction and a good treadwear rating as long as you don't rape them.

I picked up 4 235/40/r18s for $143/tire last week.

I really like my Yokohama S-drives, i have them in a 235/40/18. they seem to help out alot with traction! lol

haha im in the same boat as you man i want the dunlops but tire rack wants $198 a tire for 235/40/18 plus shipping my buddy can get the nt05s for like $650 us installed but i dont really want them and havent heard that great of things from cobalt owners about them

I got 235/40/18 hankook evo v12s for 127/tire and theyre great. They run a little narrow so next time around i am definitely going 245.

There are people on this forum that are running 255/35-18 on factory rims, they say they don't rub at all, but I don't know if his car is lowered or now. If you search in the forum, there is a thread about it, with pix as well

A 255 is meant for a wheel 8.5"-10". Stick with a 236 on a stock 7.5".
