Need some opinions.
Well, its that time of the year again. Time to get the stock 18's out of storage and back on the car for the summer. When I put away the tires i new it was almost time to get some new rubber as i have almost completely exhausted the stock Pirelli's. I was checking on the tires today and i noticed that one of them is completely flat. After some quick investigation, i found a staple in the sidewall of the tire (ouch). That was the the straw that broke the camel's back.
So, I'm in the market for four brand new tires. I'm not looking to spend a ton (yes i know you get what you pay for and tires are not something to cheap out on) and i will be upgrading to a 235/40/18 to fit on the stock rims (yes i know it isn't a recommended size for the stock rims but it can be done and this isn't a discussion about proper size).
The two choices i have narrowed down to are the BF Goodrich G-force sports, and the Nitto NT555. I have a line on a set of 4 tires in either brand for a shade over $500.
I'm looking for some feedback on owners of either of those two tires. I have owned the G-force sports before and loved them but it was a different car with more suspension work than you could shake a stick at. I'm expecting those tires to react differently on my nearly stock suspension SS/SC.
So lets here it.

I don't have either of those tires, but I've heard great things about them. I've got some pretty modified suspension, so even if I did, I wouldn't be a great candidate for comparison LOL.
Hope you find what you're looking for; good luck!! BTW, those things look sweet in black. I do the summer/winter swaps as well. Just can't beat a winter tire in the winter and summer tire in the summer. Not a big fan of all-seasons. I was actually going to go to back to stock wheels cause my commute is pretty rough, but couldn't secure the cash for new tires.
Best of luck to ya bro!

thanks guys. Any one else? I'm leaning towards the BFG's because of my previous good experience with them. the only person i know who has the Nitto NT555's has them on a pick up truck....not a good comparison.
