ok i have an 08 2.2 Cobalt. There is 22,xxx miles on it and the tread on the tires is warn down almost all the way already... Im not the person that does burnouts, and i dont peel out of every parking lot. I just thought these would atleast last me til 30,000....any ideas?

That sucks...but I didn't fare much better. The stock Pirellis on my '06 2.4 lasted until about 29k.
I bought the car in Sept 05 and hit 29k miles this March and I replaced them with a set of Goodyear GTs that I am very very happy with. Those stock tires were ass and I'm glad to be rid of them.

I got an 07 HHR 2LT for a daily driver/take the dogs to the vet/get a ton of groceries vehicle that I used exclusively for a long while. Now I alternate based on my mood, purposes, or whichever has the most gas in it. Combined they almost have 50k miles on them... The tires on the HHR are doing quite well at this point which makes me a very happy girl.
