New wheels and tires! 235/40/18s SS S/C!
UPDATE:
3,000 miles now with no problems from the rims, the tires on the other hand are a problem.
I have on tire that will go flat in 3 days for no reason that the tire shop hase been able to find and the other three lose air slowly ove a month or so they drop 10-4PSI each.
This problem will be geting solved soon as they are going to order my new tires. I might not be geting the same tires as what I have now. I might be geting the toyo T1Rs insted as they are close in price and should be as good of a tire.
The rims I have no problems with and have not bent any of them yet or had any problems with the finish coming off. I do have a few small chips from the lug sockets that I had to tuch up but thats it.
All in all Im still happy with every thing as long as they can get the tires to hold air that is..lol

too bad to hear about your tires. I've had my nittos on the stock rims for almost 8k miles and no problems?? Perhaps the seal or the beads around the rim could be the problem. You using conventional air or that Nitrogen air (I could be wrong on what it's called) that fills the tires stronger.
Im using good old reguler air right now. They ripied the bead on one of the tires and had to replace it. Im wondering of they others dont have the same problem. they will be going back as soon as I get home to be fixed.
I love the grip from the tires and the wheel hop on the street is almost gone. (On the track it is still realy bad) And they corrner realy well.
If they can get them to hold air I have no other complaints with the tires.

Thanks guys.
I just got back from Bell tire where I got them and I found that I had been runing the tires at to low a PSI for how stiff the tire is they told me that I should be runing at least 40psi. so thats what they set them to and they filled them with nitrogen and the ting grips alot beter off the line now and hugs the corrners beter to. DOwnfall is it rides a bit harsher now.
Ill be geting some new pics as soon as we get a nice day that Im home. Its crapy here in MI right now.

those are the tires i was planning on buying when mine wear out. A guy I work with swears by those tires. Does anyone know what the lagest tire you can get on out stock rim would be...it will give me an idea if i have to order new rims too?? I know that we can get 225's but can we get 235's ??
If you put this tire on the stock rim in a 235 your waisting your money. It might fit "Probably not" but it will pull the sholders off the ground so much that it will have less tracktion then a 205 would.
I would say get a 215 or a 225 max if your using this tire. Other tires are differant. This thig has a vary stiff side wall.
Oh and I have an update for you guys to.
I have changed to tire pressure to 46psi and I now have alot more tracktion as the center of the tire is now on the ground agen. The bad news is that I now have a slipping clutch do to more tracktion and power then the car had stock and GMs shitty clutch.

What are you doing with your stock rims and tires? I'm new to the cobalt forum over here, but I do have a Redline and I'm gettin ready to buy some new wheels and rubber real soon. Let me know, if you'd be interested in parting with yours.
