I would like to Powdercoat my wheels gold and keep my chrome lip.... I had a buddy give me some bs about the powdercoating making the wheels weaker... is this true... And how does it last??? plus can i get a photoshop of the wheels done in gold?

 

BS, the 350-400 degree temp, powder coating needs, is not enough to change the chemisty of the metal and make it weaker or stronger. It will be the same...

i would but i had to use adapters for the wheels and it pushed out my wheels closer to the fender

When I powder coated mine they recommended to strip the wheels to the bare metal for the best results.

 

really??? can they still chrome my lip?

 

I don't know but maybe they can leave the chrome and take off the rest
