powdercoating SS 06 wheels?

powdercoating SS 06 wheels?

powder-coating SS 06 wheels i have heard is not recommended. i heard that they lessen the strength of them too much? is this true? I love love to powdercoat mine..

Most definatly not true. You'll never have a problem and it's wayyyy more durable then paint

my rims have weights on them, would i have to reapply these weights?

so if i get them sandblasted and powder coated they wont lessen the strength.

an as far as the weights go, what do they do i noticed them on other people's cobalt's. Never had them on my SVT focus(R.I.P). would the tire shop do the weights for me?

The tire shop will install the weights for you. Its called balancing the rim/tire and has to happen any time the tire is taken off the rim, like when it gets painted. And i doubt your focus didnt have any weights, they were probably just located inside the rims, as they were probably lipless, just like the ss rims.

Never. Sandblasting and powdercoating are not extreme enough to do any damage to the structural integrity of the rim.

Usually with a 1 stage coat with no masking its about 80 a rim.

ima powder coat my rims on the weekend but dont know if just powder coating them looks good. i want them to look flat black, and been looking for images online but cant really find one.
