Powercoating?

Ok this may be a stupid question but I never said im the smartest person so here it goes. I have some rims that arnt in real bad condition but they have some normal wear and tear scrathes and such on them. My question is there a way to be able to like sandblast the rims and then have them powdercoated to look brand new again? I dont remember how bad the rims are but if they had deep scratches would there be a way to fill them in if it is possible to powercoat them. Better yet why not just ask what the best way to repair scratched and skuffed rims would be.

most places that do powder coating also do sand blasting, I had this done to my last rims and it is awsome they will stand up to almost anything

well considering im a **** of a long ways away from you just call one of your local shops. My two passanager rims were screwed( lent the car to the girlfriend and she curbed them ) It did not cost me anything because my bud works at a powder coating shop.

they turned out better than original, powdercoating is great, just look at my garage and look at the rims in the pontiac vibe, the pic is from a distance I think.

Damn, thos are some nice looking rims. What color did you have them powercoated cuz the lip looks like it is chrome or machined. I also called a guy that i have connections with at a body shop to see if he did powercoating and he said no but he knows someone that works for a big company that does that does it on the side and will do it for cheap. He said he will give me his name and number when i go in to his shop next week to have my rear bumper repainted from when my gf was driving it her friend backed into the side of it.

i run a powdercoating shop here in gallatin tennessee and powdercoating can cover up alot of deep scratches but you need to file them down smooth first if you were here in tennessee i could do them for you on the side for 175.00

And not to mention the durability. Mine seem indestructable.

Mine have chipped a little, so I might look into getting them powder coated the same or similar color. The durability is what sells me. Afterwards they shouldn't chip or flake like the factory paint.
